Nine modules. One credential.
The work you were built to do.
A rigorous, practice-based curriculum for practitioners who navigate the human dynamics that determine whether internal organizational work succeeds or fails. Six modules to Associate. Nine to Certified.
The complete OPC curriculum.
Each module builds on the last. The Associate curriculum covers the foundational six modules. OPC Certified adds three advanced modules covering structural dynamics, change initiative practice, and what organizational health actually looks like.
Establishes the foundational identity of the OPC practitioner — what the role is, what it is not, and the operating principles that govern effective practice. Introduces the three universal failure patterns and establishes Seek to Understand as the discipline that makes all OPC practice possible.
The most important skill in day-to-day OPC practice — reading what stakeholders are actually communicating as distinct from what they are saying. Covers the five common stakeholder behavior types, the anatomy of Phantom Commitment, stakeholder mapping, and the discipline of the OPC question.
Shifts the lens from individual stakeholders to the team as a unit. The Tuckman model is applied as a precision diagnostic tool — reading where a specific team actually is right now based on what they are doing, not what they say they are doing. Covers all five stages, regression triggers, the three kinds of conflict, and Subterranean Conflict in depth.
Addresses Positional Compliance — the behavior of executing a decision you know is wrong because speaking up feels more dangerous than staying silent. Covers the Crucial Accountability framework in full, the construction of truth-telling conversations, the discipline of observable language, and when accountability conversations are not the right tool.
Brings OPC competencies to bear on the two most practically important artifacts in internal organizational work — the shared vision conversation and the project status one-pager. Covers deploy-forward design, the mountain metaphor in operational depth, the OPC one-pager as a transparency tool, and what to do when the vision has moved without being acknowledged.
The final Associate module addresses the ethics that govern OPC practice, the structure and expectations of the certification process, and what it means to maintain and develop an OPC practice over time. This is the module about what it means to actually practice — the responsibilities the credential carries.
Teaches practitioners to read organizational design as OPC data. Every structural choice — reporting lines, approval chains, management layers, decision rights — encodes assumptions about power, trust, and what the organization actually values. The practitioner who can read structure is operating at a fundamentally more advanced level.
Applies the full OPC framework to change initiatives — reading them as organizational dynamics systems rather than project management problems. Covers the five-phase Change Curve model, where all three failure patterns reliably appear in change initiatives, phase gate integrity, and why most deployment crises are created in the first phase.
The capstone module. OPC practice is not dysfunction detection — it is the practice of creating conditions under which organizations can be honest with themselves. This module describes what that destination looks like across all domains: healthy stakeholder dynamics, teams in genuine Performing, structure that serves the work, and change initiatives where the dynamics are right. Closes with the OPC Practitioner’s Pledge.

Full Curriculum Modules
Deep, rigorous content across the full OPC competency framework — from foundational identity through applied practice and ethics. Associate track covers six modules. Certified track adds three advanced modules covering structural dynamics, change initiative practice, and what organizational health actually looks like. Each module is 4–8 study hours.
Module Assessments
90 questions per module — scenario-based, application-focused, and designed to test whether you can use the frameworks, not just describe them. Explanations included for every answer. Associate track: 540 questions across six modules. Certified track: 810 questions across nine modules.
Module-by-Module Assessment
90% passing threshold per module. Results reported as pass/fail only — your score is not shown, mirroring the PMP and other professional credential standards. Each module must be passed before the next unlocks.
OPC Field Manual Included
The OPC Practice Reference Guide — a six-chapter PDF covering all five failure patterns, diagnostic tools, exam readiness sections, and board assessment preparation. Serves as both a study guide and a practitioner reference you will return to after the credential is earned.
Board Assessment Preparation
OPC Certified candidates receive dedicated preparation content covering board assessment structure, expectations, and the competency domains the board evaluates. Covers what a strong candidate demonstration looks like and how to prepare your live case presentation.
Directory Listing Upon Credentialing
Certified practitioners are listed on certifiedopc.com — the public directory through which organizations can verify credentials and connect with certified OPC practitioners.
Rigorous by design. Humane by structure.
OPC certification mirrors the standard set by PMP, SHRM, and other serious credentialing bodies — pass/fail by module, no score shown, retakes available, and a live board review for the Certified credential.
Module Assessments
90% Passing Threshold Per Module
81 of 90 questions correct to pass each module. Consistent across all modules regardless of track.
Score Not Shown
Pass or fail by module only — not your score. Mirrors the PMP model. Ensures candidates engage for mastery rather than score optimization.
Unlimited Retakes — No Charge
Module assessments can be retaken as many times as needed at no additional cost. Keep studying and retake when you are ready. There is no penalty for retaking — the standard is mastery, not speed.
24-Month Enrollment Window
All module assessments must be completed within 24 months of enrollment — the standard across most professional credentialing bodies.
Board Review — Certified Track Only
Eligibility Requirement
All nine module assessments must show Pass before the board review is scheduled. Once eligible, you will be contacted to arrange your review within 30 days.

Included in Certified Enrollment
The board review is included in the OPC Certified enrollment fee. No additional charge at eligibility.
Retake Policy
Module assessments are unlimited and free — retake any module as many times as needed within your 24-month enrollment window. The board review (Certified track only) is included in enrollment. If the board review is not passed, up to two paid re-sits are available at $225 each.
Board review determinations — and what they mean for you
The board issues one of four determinations. Every non-passing determination includes written developmental notes within five business days.

Written developmental notes provided within 5 business days explaining exactly what to develop before re-sitting. Re-sit available after a minimum 60-day development period.
Significant readiness gap — requires unanimous board agreement
